I love that even though it’s been 6 years since I first moved to New York – there are still streets I’ve never explored. And an outfit as easy as this one is perfect for getting lost on little back streets.

I’m in that tricky timeframe where I’m craving Fall items – but don’t want to buy anything that I’ll have to wait 2 months to wear (which is the adult version of wanting to go back to school shopping but not wanting to have to start classes again). To help combat this conundrum, I’m only investing in pieces right now that can be worn right away with lightweight Summer pieces and then re-styled later once the weather starts to turn. Ever since I broke out this lightweight scarf and jacket – my closet has been itching to wear “Fall” things. But at the same time I’m desperate to not wish away Summer too soon. The struggle is real. So on Saturday night I settled on this look that felt classic in a plaid boyfriend shirt and a new pair of jeans.
