On Saturday night, I had a real New York night on the town. Adam and I were honored to be asked to attend the St. Jude Spring Gala on behalf of Collectively. It was an evening filled with drinks, raffle prizes, delicious food from some of New York’s best restaurants, and dancing. All for an incredible cause.
Honey, I’m home! One of the things I was most looking forward to about Palm Springs was scoping some of their famous mid century mod homes. Known for their one story ranch style, minimal lines and bright pops of color the houses here feel like nothing I’ve seen anywhere else. So naturally.. I dressed to match.
You’re looking at my dream dress. I mean… the lace, the florals, the faintest hue of blue, the sheer insets, the fit for goodness sake! There has probably never been a dress that feels more like me. And you know where I found it? Amazon. And you know what else? They’ve got your dream dress too this Spring.
To me, having fun means you’re not trying too hard and just living in the moment. Fun is carefree and easy and doesn’t complicate things. It’s wearing a show-stopping pair of shoes out to get $6 dumplings in the middle of a Sunday afternoon.. just for the hell of it. I like fun. So when Donald J Pliner asked me to be a part of their Spring campaign – aptly titled #ArtofFun – I certainly didn’t have to overthink it.
For a few brief hours on Saturday morning, there was a hint of Spring in the air. I used the window as an excuse to wander some of my favorite streets in the West Village, chai latte and hydrangeas in hand, debuting a couple of spring pieces that I’ve been (impatiently) waiting to wear. Of course, then it started to rain and I tucked them back into my closet. But for those brief hours, all was right in the world.
