Yeehaw! In my efforts to bring you the best of Fall Fashion this entire week on the blog – I present to you the first of the most major trends of the season: All things Western-Inspired. Think: ‘Annie Oakley meets Carrie Bradshaw’.
SHOP THE STORY:
I think the key with any trend (at least for me) is to wear it in a way that feels true to yourself – which for me means making it modern and keeping it subtle. I love a good mini skirt come Fall and this one has just the faintest nod to Western-wear without beaming with rhinestones or flapping with fringe. The white booties make it feel slightly mod – while cowboy boots would veer this look into costume territory – and a simple white peasant blouse and macrame bag play up the 70s nature of the trend. All in all, I think I’m on board with this trend (blame it on my love of old school country music and perpetual fandom of Dolly Parton) especially since even if the trend passes by next Fall I’d still definitely wear this suede mini skirt.
