If you were in New York City this weekend, then I think you understand that ‘hot’ would be an understated way to describe it. With ‘feels like’ temperatures teetering around 110 degrees its hard to believe that Fall will ever come. As someone who loves Summer I’m certainly not rushing it.. but like it or not, it will get cooler. And when that happens, I’m prepping my wardrobe now with a few key transitional pieces (like this floral off the shoulder top) that work for scorching days now and crisp nights later.
SHOP THE STORY
While this look is a bit more boho than my style usually leans towards, I think summer style should be easy and effortless so I’m going with it. So while yesterday for a couple of downtown errands I wore this breezy floral top with loose waves and cut-off jean shorts, I picture it with dark skinny jeans and burgundy suede pumps come September. And this tassel crossbody bag will be so good against a chunky knit sweater down the line. Same goes for the lace-up suede flats which are still going to be trending into the next season to come. For now though? I’ll be sweating it out and making plenty of ice cream truck runs. Stay cool out there friends.
