Since spring didn’t exactly feel like spring here in New York, the fact that Memorial Day is this upcoming weekend comes as a bit of a shock. But since it promises three day weekends, warmer temperatures and the clothes that go with it.. I’m all in.

Last weekend Adam and I visited an all but empty Rockaway Beach just to see it before the crowds hit, and since it was still fairly breezy I opted for this striped sweater and white jeans. While I’m hoping we’ve seen the last of that weather, I always end up wanting something at the beach/lake for cooler early mornings or after sunset. I picked up this blue panama hat and lobster espadrilles early in spring but had been saving them for real summer and can’t wait to wear them on repeat now that the season has arrived. Now, lobster rolls and tan lines please.
