VALENTINE’S DAY STYLE: LACE DRESS AND LACE UP HEELS

Valentine's Day Date Night - Lace dress and lace up heels

I already mentioned it here, but I’m an unashamed fan of Valentine’s Day. I like wearing a bit of pink now and then and I like any excuse to wear a pair of knockout heels. Even if it’s just to cook a special dinner in our tiny kitchen. And even though Adam and I don’t have big plans for next weekend, at least I’ve got the outfit ready now.

SHOP THE STORY

And whether or not Valentine’s Day is your thing, there’s something to be said for having a romantic lace dress in your closet – especially when all those engagement parties/bridal showers/weddings start to pop up in the next couple of months (or is that just me?). Since the dress itself is sweetly modest, I spiced it up a bit with these burgundy lace up heels which, while not made for long distance walking, are certainly made for sitting pretty.

On a side note, these photos were taken on Patchin Place – a tiny, gated side street in Greenwich Village that Adam and I found yesterday and as always, were thrilled having come across such a hidden gem. Even better is the fact that I did a little googling after we got home and learned that this stretch of row homes has housed Marlon Brando, E.E. Cummings and many other New York greats throughout the years. This city will never stop stealing my heart. And that alone, deserves getting dressed up for.
