SUMMER STYLE IN STRIPES AND FLORALS

The Steele Maiden: Stripes and Florals in Madison Square Park

Happy Summer! The weather was all over the place in New York this weekend, but for a moment on Sunday we had uninterupted sun. And so an equally sunny outfit seemed required.

SHOP THE STORY

The last time I wore this watercolor floral dress was in the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and I’ve been wanting to remix it ever since. All along the answer was so easy.. stripes! Because apparently, if I don’t wear the pattern at least 3 times a week the world will stop spinning.  I like the way the t-shirt and straw hat dressed things down a little though, and the outfit ended up taking me from a picnic in Madison Square Park (how cool is that mirrored hanging art installations behind me? It reflects the surrounding trees in the dreamiest way) to a trip to Home Depot (operation bedroom makeover is in full swing). A Sunday uniform at it’s best.
