SPRING CLASSICS WITH ONEPOINTSIX

The Steele Maiden: One Point Six Dress with Ted Baker Trench Coat Vintage YSL ClutchLast week I had the chance to visit the showroom of OnePointSix – a relatively new line, designed and produced here in New York’s Garment District, a part of town not talked about nearly enough in this fashionable city, but one I’m always happy to support. The line was built to fill the void for classic yet modern, well-fitted pieces in a professional woman’s wardrobe. In short – death to the skirt suit.

SHOP THE STORY

Not only are the clothes a perfect combination of style and substance, if you don’t fit into one of the pre-made sizes (and so few of us are a size ___ equally from head to toe), they’ll pre-tailor the clothing so the fit is perfect. I tried on a perfectly draped sleeveless shirt dress, a crisp little pleated skirt and finally this short-sleeved crepe navy dress. One turn in the mirror and it had to be mine. I paired it with all my favorite closet classics – trench coat, nude pumps, and a vintage clutch for a look that works for a Monday morning straight through to Friday night. Don’t be surprised if you see me in this outfit once a week all season long.

p.s. These pictures were taken on MacDougal Street in the West Village – one of my favorite colorful blocks in the whole city.
