The weather was pretty gloomy in New York this past weekend and I took the chance to disconnect. Aside from battling a long run in the rain along the East River on Saturday morning, I mainly stayed tucked away in my apartment, reading, binge watching Netflix and hanging out with Adam. In a life of go, go, go.. it was pretty wonderful.
SHOP THE STORY
The one time I did venture out was for a wander from the East Village over to the West Village – where I happened upon this cute little alley for the first time (it’s Gay Street off Waverly Place if you’re looking to find it for yourself). I always love finding these hidden nooks of quiet in a city otherwise so full of noise. Found myself reaching for denim on denim again – I seem to be on a kick lately and I blame it on the fact that while I want to wear Spring clothes, it’s just still not really warm enough (hey 70 degrees, I’m waiting on you…). So in the transition I’ve been falling back on basics, like lived in jeans, my leather bomber and black suede heels. Plus a little hit of stripes courtesy of this bag I found in the back of my closet. An added benefit of actually cleaning it out recently.
