quick trip

It’s no secret – I live for a good road trip.  Whether it’s a two week long coast to coast extravaganza or a two day adventure a few hours away, I’ve got my bag packed.

It seems October is quickly stacking up with these quick trips (last weekend was home to Southern PA, this weekend we headed to Adam’s lake house in the Poconos and in two weeks we’re planning a trip up the coast) and I’m certainly not complaining.  I try to keep my travel style fairly simple, but I like to still feel pulled together.  This time of year that usually equates to skinny jeans with some stretch, a sweater that won’t wrinkle, cute flats (you know I usually am in heels but I can’t stop staring at these cute plaid loafers!), a hat/sunglass combo to hide my most-likely-messy hair and maybe tired eyes, and a swipe of lipstick (this Smashbox lacquer in Flushed is my current favorite when I just want a hint of color).  The final touch is a great bag to hold all my things – and this blush colored woven weekender from Sole Society is the perfect size and shape.  Suggestions for where I should head to next?
p.s. Sole Society is giving away 5 sets of their amazing Fall bags paired with Smashbox long lasting lip lacquers over the next 5 days – so be sure to enter HERE for your chance to win!

  1. As always, you look amazing from head to toe…I am very disappointed that I am unable to order the loafers (size 8 sold out). If they run big, I could probably go for a 7.5. Any suggestions on how to obtain a size 8? I am obsessed with the plaid.

    Thanks – Diane Fourney

    1. Thanks Diane! I found they were pretty true to size (I’m a 7) so I’m hesitant to suggest you get the 7.5 – but they’re also sold at Nordstrom (here: http://bit.ly/Z8K5Tn) and while the 8 is sold out there too you have the option to sign up for the wait list – so maybe they’ll come back in stock!!

  2. I find that Old Navy has some pretty awesome and inexpensive sweaters! Some of them I have had for multiple years as they wear very well. And, I love mustard colored everything – it looks great on you! You and man and that awesome weekend bag need to visit the fabulous state of NC. Especially the blue ridge mountains this time of year – it’s beautiful! For real check it out @ http://www.exploreasheville.com/ and hit up Highland Brewing while you’re there.
